BAY VALLEY XPRESS NEWS & INFORMATION
The NCFL announced the placement of the Bay Valley Xpress as the League's first expansion project. This team will be in the Solano / Fairfield areas and will operate under first year owner, and long time player and coach Johnny Wayfer, formerly of the Northbay Rattlers. His extensive experience and knowledge of the semi-pro football world made him the ideal candidate to head this new franchise.
For the first time in local history in minor league football, the league will play a major role in helping to organize, and oversee operations within the Xpress Franchise. While it will grant autonomy to Mr. Wayfer and his staff, the NCFL is taking a vested interest in this first year ballclub. The hope is that when the Bay Valley Xpress model is successful, it will be used as a catapult to repeat the franchise model in other cities in the region.
The NCFL is very excited for Mr. Wayfer and the newly formed Bay Valley Xpress! Please check back in the coming Summer months for more updates. If you want more information in regards to the Xpress, click here for a brief bio and team visuals. VISIT THE XPRESS TEMPORARY SITE HERE

First NCFL Allstar Bowl, A Game to Remember; NFC Edges AFC 17-14
If you’ve followed the Northern California Football League playoffs, then it should come as no surprise that the league’s inaugural All-Star game was another barnburner. With the two Conference title games and the NCFL Championship game being decided by a combined 10 points, it only seemed appropriate the All-Star played out in similar fashion. Led by Pacifica Islander RB Jason Harrison, the NFC overcame a 14-3 halftime deficit to triumph over the AFC 17-14.

Northbay Rattlers Outlast Barnstormers 14-12 to capture Inaugural NCFL Title
For 60 minutes on Saturday night at Corbus Field in Vallejo, the inaugural Northern California Football League Championship felt like a typical North Bay Rattler game. Problem was that for 29 of the final 30 minutes, the Central Coast Barnstormers were leading on the scoreboard. RB Karl Mikolon’s 2-yard TD run in the last minute not only confirmed Rattler football was in full effect, but more importantly sealed a 14-12 victory to become NCFL Champs. READ FULL ARTICLE HERE
