
It was announced early this past week that Rob Vernatchi, who is currently a member of the NCFL Board of Advisors has been appointed to officiate as a Back Judge in Super Bowl XLIV in Miami in a little over a week from now. The NCFL would like to congratulate Mr. Vernatchi for this great accomplishment, and we are extremely proud to be associated with Mr. Vernatchi. His hard work, dedication, and work ethic undoubtedly made him a standout in which the NFL took notice and hand selected him for this honor. Again the NCFL wishes him a safe trip to Miami, and a great game!
Mr. Vernatchi lives in Sacramento and is married to his wife Julie. Julie has three children Kristen 22, Justen 21 and Austen 17. Rob graduated from the University of California Riverside in 1981. He is currently an Investigator with the State of California, Department of Health Services. He has been employed with the state for 21 years. Rob started officiating in 1981. He was a member of the Football Officials of America. His college experience includes the Collegiate Officials Association, American West Conference, WAC, Mountain West and the PAC-10. He also has worked in the Arena Football League for the past four years. He was appointed to the NFL in March 2004. His post season assignments include three Division II playoffs and four bowl games along with working the World Bowl for NFL Europe in 2003, and now Super Bowl XLIV.
