The Minorleague Football News Hall of Fame will be inducting three members of the NCFL Family this December in Mesquite, Nevada. This will be yet another addition from our local region to be indcuted into this nationally recognized Hall of Fame for amateur football.
This year's inductees include Tom Patrick, the current Head Coach for the River City Gators, and formerly of the Sacramento / West Sac Wolveirnes, Boots James, Former GCFL President, and Co-Owner of the NorCal Lawmen, Al Burrell, Current Defensive coordinator for the NorCal Lawmen, and formerly of the the West Sac Wolverines, and Capital City Fury, and rounding out the group is Tailback Eric Bailey, whose career spans over a decade with the Capital City Fury, Wolverines, and Northern Valley Lions.
This standout group of individuals will be among several in our area that has already been inducted into the Hall. From the Current NCFL, Dave Hansen, and Tom Piccolotti of the Pacifica Islanders / Daly City Renegades were inducted in 2004 with the Inaugural Class.
The other members who have been noted to be inducted into the Hall are Charlie Ruiz, of the Capital City Fury (GCFL), Alex Flores of the former South Bay Buccaneers (GSAFL), Rick Williams, former GCFL Commissioner and long time Lawmen Owner and Coach. Other notable individuals are James Clarke, and Ed Semenchin, whose tenure dates back several decades in minorleague football in Northern California and most recently with the Soquel Sharks, and the Solano Chiefs respectively.
The Details for the Indcution Ceremony and the HOF Bowl Games are as follows, where the River City Gators have been invited to participate on the weekend of December 6th in Las Vegas, NV to rerpresent the NCFL against the Island Warriors of Las Vegas.

The Selection Committee of the Minor League Football Hall of Fame proudly announces its Class of 2008 Hall of Fame Inductees. This group of 57 men and 2 women is the 4th annual induction into the Hall of Fame and truly represents pioneers in the sport of football at the amateur level.
The Minor League Football Hall of Fame was established with the Induction of the Class of 2004 in order to recognize the lifetime achievement, dedication and contribution of Athletes, Coaches, Executives and others connected with the sport of Minor League and Adult Amateur Football. Since that time, more than 200 individual members have been recognized and inducted.
