This year's back and forth defensive battle was an instant classic as both teams battled it out from whitstle to whistle. The Salinas Spartans mounted a defensive attack that eventually earned them the 2010 Title over the two time defending Champions, the Northbay Rattlers  14-10.

Salinas Spartans

The Spartans have been invited to participate in this year's Sunset Bowl hosted by the Minor League Football News Group in Las Vegas, Nevada. Last year the NCFL sent both the Northbay Rattlers and the Pacifica Islanders to participate as the #1 and #3 seeded teams according to the MLFN Ranking System.  This year the Spartans, Currently Ranked at #7 will be representative for the NCFL. The Spartans have yet to announce officially if they will accept the bid and travel to Las Vegas for the Bowl.

Pacifica Islanders
Pacifica has accepted an invitation to face the LCFL champion, North County Cobras on July 31st in Los Angeles, CA. The team plans to travel down to Southern California this year to face the same team that they beat last year in Pacifica, when the Islanders hosted both the Cobras and the Steelers from the LCFL. Last year both the Rattlers and the Islanders were victorious in their matchups with their counterparts from the Labelle Community Football League.
